Hyatt Regency makes its Niagara Falls debut

A new entrant in the Niagara Falls lodging scene is promising guests that they won’t just have a room with a view. Instead they can have a room with a view of a dramatic attraction provided by Mother Nature that has built a worldwide following.

Alysia Krawec, marketing manager at the Hyatt Regency Niagara Falls Fallsview, notes her property looks onto the draw that forms the core of Niagara Falls’ tourist trade.

“Niagara Falls is one of the most visited destinations in North America, drawing 14 million visitors a year,” she notes. “This property already had everything: the views, the scale, the central location steps from the falls. What it needed was the right brand behind it. Hyatt Regency is built for exactly this kind of landmark destination.

“What’s rare is waking up and having the falls be the first thing you see,” Krawec continues. “Our Fallsview rooms put guests within sight and sound of one of the most extraordinary natural phenomena on earth and they get that alongside the full Hyatt Regency experience: a brand that’s earned trust in over 220 destinations globally, the World of Hyatt loyalty program, and a level of service that matches the setting. For a lot of visitors, Niagara is a once-in-a-decade trip. We think that calls for a hotel that’s actually worth remembering.”

“At the center of one of North America’s most visited attractions, Hyatt Regency Niagara Falls Fallsview gives World of Hyatt members and guests the opportunity to take in unobstructed views of a natural wonder, and we’re excited to welcome this property to the Classics portfolio to give our members opportunities to explore the beauty of the Niagara region,” adds Katie Johnson, vice president of global brand strategy, Classics Portfolio, Hyatt.

The Hyatt Regency Niagara Falls Fallsview was formerly the Embassy Suites and the property rises 42 storeys above the Horseshoe Falls. “This newly transformed sanctuary offers a singular connection to its surroundings. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame breathtaking views, while all 611 renovated rooms and suites feature sleek, contemporary finishes designed for rest and renewal,” Hyatt says.

Krawec states the reborn hotel has a number of drawing cards, including its brand affiliation and its location within the community. “Firstly, the view, our Fallsview positioning is unmatched. Secondly, the brand: Hyatt Regency brings a globally consistent upper-upscale standard that gives travelers confidence before they even arrive. Lastly, the transformation itself: this isn’t a refresh, it’s a full repositioning of a property that’s been part of the Niagara skyline for decades. Guests who’ve been here before will notice the difference immediately. Guests who are coming for the first time are getting the best version of this address that’s ever existed.”

The Hyatt Regency Niagara Falls Fallsview is Hyatt’s first full-service property in Niagara Falls, with Krawec stating that “having a globally recognized upper-upscale flag in this market signals where Niagara Falls is headed as a tourism destination, it’s not just a day-trip stop anymore. Hyatt Regency is one of the world’s most recognized full-service hotel brands; it is upper-upscale, sitting just below luxury. For us as a property, carrying that flag means guests arrive with trust already built in. They know the standard, the loyalty program, and what to expect. We get to build on a global reputation rather than establish one from scratch. In a market with as many options as Niagara Falls, that’s a real advantage.”

Hyatt says its new hotel’s dining experiences are “enhanced by spectacular views, allowing guests to enjoy memorable meals and handcrafted cocktails against the backdrop of Niagara’s storied landscape. For those seeking calm, inviting wellness amenities offer an ideal place to unwind after a day of sightseeing, while vantage points throughout the property keep the destination’s beauty in constant view. Whether visiting for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a special celebration, the hotel delivers an immersive Niagara Falls experience that balances adventure with ease, creating unforgettable moments from first light over the cascading waters to the glow of the illuminated falls after dark.”

Hyatt Regency Niagara Falls Fallsview is the first Hyatt hotel in Niagara Falls and the closest Canadian hotel to the falls. The property offers spacious Fallsview suites, a heated indoor pool, over 20,000 square feet of event space, and exclusive direct access to the falls via the Niagara Parks Incline Railway.

Meanwhile, Krawec says Niagara Falls continues to appeal to people far and wide, thanks to the falls. “Niagara Falls is one of those rare places that genuinely delivers on its reputation,” she continues. “You can look at photographs your whole life and still be unprepared for the moment you see it in person. But what’s changed is the destination around the falls: the dining, the experiences, and the caliber of accommodation. It’s becoming a proper hospitality destination, not just a natural attraction. We’re part of that evolution. And it’s accessible, a short drive from Toronto, close to the U.S. border, easy to reach from almost anywhere in the Northeast.

“Travel is back, demand for Niagara is growing, and guests are choosing more intentionally than ever, they want experiences worth the trip. We believe Hyatt Regency Niagara Falls Fallsview is exactly that. We’re proud to be part of this destination’s next chapter.”
