Sayulinda hotel is proud of the local community
The Sayulinda hotel in Sayulita, Mexico, says the town it’s in lives up to the hotel’s Spanish name.
The hotel’s moniker is a cute twist on the Pacific coast town’s name, with ‘linda’ translating to pretty in Spanish.
And hotel manager Pedro Fernandez del Valle says the hotel is a reflection of a town that was at one time best known as a retreat for surfer’s dudes but has broadened its appeal while still having lots of open-air restaurants, bars, gift shops and of course surfing shops in a destination that has a very relaxed ambiance.
“One of the owners said, ‘Sayulita is sayulinda,'” Fernandez del Valle said of the hotel naming. “I think it’s a great place to be.”
The family owned hotel – in a community that’s not far from Puerto Vallarta – has what Fernandez del Valle says is an unpretentious ambiance, adding hotel guests might find themselves “next to a surfer who’s next to a family who’s next to a couple.”
Images of famed Mexican artist Frida Kahlo can be seen throughout the hotel.
There are 51 rooms featuring the likes of air conditioning, smart TVs and free WiFi.
Those booking the Del Patron suite will have what the hotel says is the “best ocean view” in Sayulita.
The hotel has a rooftop bar, with guests able to sit on swings at the bar counter. The hotel top also has an infinity pool.
A cafe is another hotel feature.
Hotel guests are invited to practice yoga and pilates if they choose.
Fernandez del Valle notes that the hotel – found in the core of Sayulita – has security all day.
