With winter fast approaching, Panama City Beach is gearing up to welcome its winter residents back to its 27 miles of sugar white sand beaches and emerald green waters. With a full calendar of exciting social events scheduled to kick off in 2020, the welcome mat is being rolled out for “snowbirds” searching for a sunny beach getaway this winter.

This year’s annual Homecoming Dance and Social at Laketown Wharf is Jan. 22 and the Winter Resident Senior Prom at Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort on Feb. 12 are not-to-be missed. One of the most popular events of the season, this year’s highly anticipated prom will be themed “Viva Las Vegas” and include the naming of the winter resident prom king and queen.
Panama City Beach’s Winter Resident Appreciation Days offers visitors the opportunity to connect over complimentary coffee, donuts and giveaways at Laketown Wharf Center on Jan. 17, Feb. 7 and Feb. 21. A great time to learn more about the destination’s seasonal activities, everyone is encouraged to stop by for a chance to mingle with friends both old and new.
Golfers of all skill levels are invited to hit the links and participate in Panama City Beach’s Mystery Golf Challenges throughout the winter. Given the chance to win prizes, comment on what they would like to see at local golf courses and just enjoy the excitement and mystery of the challenges, this is the perfect activity for the avid winter golfer.
Wrapping up all winter resident activities, the Winter Resident Grand Finale is a farewell and appreciation event for those who choose Panama City Beach as their home away from home.
