Celebrating travel advisors who go above & beyond!
It’s hard to believe it’s already been 10 years since we launched the Travel Agent Appreciation edition in honour of travel advisors back in 2016. Leading up to Travel Agent Day, the annual special issue of Travel Courier and Canadian Travel Press highlights remarkable travel advisors from across the country.
One of my favourite parts of working on the edition is receiving the nominations from BDMs, supplier partners and colleagues who work with these hardworking travel advisors day in and day out. This year we received an overwhelming amount of nominations. A recurring theme amongst the nominations is just how deeply these advisors care about making a difference in the lives of their clients. Although some advisors are utilizing AI as a tool to simplify their jobs, they strongly believe that human connection cannot be replaced with AI.
In addition to launching Travel Agent Appreciation a decade ago, in 2021 Baxter Media debuted the Travel Agent & Beyond Award, honouring one of the nominees from the Travel Agent Appreciation edition with some extra recognition. All the advisors featured in this issue are in the running. This year’s Travel Agent and Beyond Award winner will be announced in the May 28th edition of Travel Courier.
