The Britain-based adventure tour company has over 350 itineraries in some 100 countries, with Algeria being a new addition
Adventure tour company Explore Worldwide is reaching out to those eager to see our planet while promising that those who abhor the thought of doing the couch potato routine while on vacation will appreciate its options.
The Britain-based company has over 350 itineraries in some 100 countries, with Algeria being a new addition.
And Katy Rockett, who oversees Explore Worldwide’s North American operation, says it actively caters to those who like energetic holidays, with both walking and hiking, and cycling tours available. Those tours are building a following in this country, with 31% growth in cycling tours in the Canadian market in the past year alone, while walking and hiking tours have seen 19% growth, she said during a recent Toronto reception.
“Our clients are energetic people,” she said. “Being on two wheels or two feet enables you to go to places you can’t otherwise.”
Explore Worldwide actually opened a Canadian office in downtown Toronto last fall. The company’s presence in Canada is newish, but it has been in operation in Britain for over 40 years. Rockett said her company’s trips are designed to “get out of the main tourist destinations,” instead providing trip participants with an immersive experience in the region.
Rockett also said her company “loves to pioneer into new places, ” citing the likes of its recent addition of Algeria, which has seen bookings “flying off the shelves. “
The tour operator has special savings for Canadians. Through July 31, Canadians can book and save up to 20% off per person on over 300 tours worldwide for travel through 2025. Explore Worldwide ’s tours average 11 people and are designed to embrace adventure, such as a safari in Botswana to multi-day walking tours that introduce travellers to the small towns and cities of Finland and Sweden. “Each tour offers culturally rich and experience-driven itineraries that spotlight local businesses, deep insider knowledge through local guides and curated experiences that, in many cases, one can only experience on tour,” the company says.
“Travel has a profound way of shifting our perspective and reminding us of the beauty in the world and in the power of human connection.” Rockett added. “Explore’s tours create meaningful experiences that stay with travellers long after the journey ends, and we’re hoping that this special offer makes it that much easier to say yes to the adventure.”
