Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana
Hyatt is expanding its all-inclusive footprint in the Dominican Republic with the opening of Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana, the first Hyatt Vivid Hotels & Resorts property in the country. The brand’s expansion reflects growing demand from a new generation of all-inclusive travellers with Gen Z and Millennial travellers outpacing older generations.
The property offers 467 guestrooms and suites inspired by Punta Cana’s coastal surroundings. There are seven dining concepts for clients to choose from, including five à la carte restaurants, an international food hall, and bar and grill; plus seven bars and lounges and a hidden speakeasy.
The resort features a Zenda Spa and Wellness Café, alongside indoor and outdoor fitness spaces, padel, pickleball, yoga and more. Social and experiential programming include paddleboard yoga, live DJs and music, sunset gatherings and guided stargazing.
King Lewanika Lodge
King Lewanika Lodge in Zambia’s Liuwa Plain National Park has reopened following a full refurbishment under new operator Ker & Downey Zambia.
The only permanent luxury camp in Zambia’s Liuwa Plain National Park now features a new poolside sanctuary, an open-air dining pavilion, and a fleet of custom-built game-viewing vehicles. Guests can also enjoy unique two-day migration sleepouts during wildebeest migration season (June–September). The team builds a remote camp mid-drive, and guests spend the night bivouacked in mosquito-net tents, with meals over an open campfire beneath uninterrupted stars before continuing the following morning.
King Lewanika Lodge accommodates a maximum of 15 guests across five tented twin safari suites and one family suite. Streamlined air access is now offered through daily Ker & Downey flights from Livingstone and Lusaka, now landing at Matiamanene Airstrip, a ten-minute game drive from camp.
Recess Hotel & Club
Recess Hotel & Club is bringing new life to a historic Savannah property that first opened in 1912 as a grand hotel. The new addition to the Leading Hotels of the World has 221 rooms, including suites and bunk rooms, twenty of which are deliberately built without a television for guests looking for a genuine break from screen time.
Featuring a “retro-futurist” design, amenities include a Saltgrass circuit spa, several dining venues like Le Flâneur brasserie, and the city’s highest rooftop pool. Every guest floor has its own “Rumpus Room,” a communal hangout stocked with games, vending and lounge seating meant to pull guests out of their rooms.
