Puerto Vallarta's Villa Premiere hotel is proud to provide visitors with flexibility when choosing a vacation
Puerto Vallarta’s Villa Premiere offers clients a clear choice when it comes to what type of vacation they wish when holidaying in the popular Mexican destination.
Hector Gonzalez, marketing manager for Buenaventura Hotels, which includes Villa Premiere among its properties, says the hotel provides guests with flexibility in a part of the world known for its all-inclusives.
“Villa Premiere does have an optional Gourmet All-Inclusive Plan, but we do not approach all-inclusive in the traditional large-resort sense,” he reports. “Our focus is very much on à la carte dining, premium beverages, personalized service, and a boutique atmosphere. Guests can enjoy the convenience of an all-inclusive experience while still feeling encouraged to explore Puerto Vallarta and its extraordinary restaurant scene. That flexibility is an important part of who we are.
“Villa Premiere has just 80 ocean-view rooms and suites, all with private balconies facing the Pacific. That size is really central to our boutique identity because it allows us to provide a much more personalized level of service. We have five accommodation categories, but regardless of the room type, the idea is to create an intimate atmosphere where guests feel recognized, rather than like one of hundreds of people in a large resort.”
Gonzalez states that Villa Premiere’s location is one of its greatest advantages, with guests able to spend the morning relaxing by the pool or at Serena Spa and then walk to downtown Puerto Vallarta to discover galleries, restaurants, markets, architecture, and local neighbourhoods.
“We never want Villa Premiere to feel like an isolated resort where guests arrive and never leave,” he continues. “Puerto Vallarta is part of the experience. It has an extraordinary sense of place, a very strong culinary scene, art, culture, and a genuine local community. We want our guests to experience the hotel, but also to return home feeling that they really discovered Puerto Vallarta.”
He also notes that the hotel has received some very weighty accolades, something Buenaventura is proud of.
“We believe the key word is consistency,” Gonzalez says. “Maintaining AAA Four Diamond standards for 19 consecutive years is not about doing one thing exceptionally well once. It is about delivering quality every single day, across every part of the guest experience. We continuously invest in our rooms, culinary concepts, wellness experiences and, most importantly, our people. At the same time, we have been careful not to lose the warmth and personalized service that define Mexican hospitality.

Gonzalez reports that there is very strong interest in luxury travel throughout this region, but the definition of luxury is evolving regionally. “Travelers increasingly want smaller-scale properties, meaningful experiences, wellness, excellent food and a genuine connection with the destination, rather than luxury defined only by size or opulence. That broader shift toward highly personalized and locally rooted travel is also being reflected across the luxury hospitality sector in Mexico.
“Puerto Vallarta is particularly well positioned because it offers something difficult to replicate: a sophisticated tourism infrastructure combined with a real city, established neighborhoods, an important culinary scene, culture and immediate access to nature. For Villa Premiere, that creates an opportunity to offer luxury that feels intimate and connected to the place rather than insulated from it.”
Gonzalez adds that Villa Premiere is noticeably Mexican, “although we try to express it in a contemporary and authentic way rather than through clichés. You can see it in the materials and details throughout the guestrooms, including tropical woods, handwoven textiles, blown glass and locally inspired decorative elements. You also experience it through our food and beverage program, particularly at La Perla – Cantina de Costa, which draws inspiration from Mexican coastal flavours and cantina culture.
“But perhaps the strongest Mexican influence is our approach to hospitality. There is a warmth and generosity in the way our team interacts with guests that cannot really be manufactured. We want visitors to feel that they are staying somewhere distinctly Mexican and distinctly Puerto Vallarta.”
