WestJet + Copa Airlines: Why travel advisors are key to unlocking Latin America

WestJet’s network has expanded, creating new opportunities for you and your clients. Through our partnership with Copa Airlines, you now have access to both carriers’ networks, including 37 key interline destinations across the Caribbean, Central and South America. These connections span major business centers such as São Paulo, Bogotá and Lima, as well as highly sought-after leisure destinations including Cartagena, Curaçao and San José — available exclusively through travel advisors and authorized ticketing partners.

Your role is essential in creating itineraries that maximize the value of your clients’ single-ticket journeys, meaning one check-in, through baggage and the reassurance of two trusted airlines working together to simplify the journey.

Beginning December 13, WestJet will launch non-stop service between Calgary and Panama City, Copa Airlines’ hub, with four flights a week. From Panama City, your clients can connect to one of the most comprehensive networks in the Americas.

For Canadians, this provides new access to business and leisure destinations throughout Latin America. For Copa guests, it simplifies northbound connections to over 100 Canadian and U.S. destinations. And travel advisors are the key to unlocking its full potential.

WestJet and Copa Airlines have built the foundation. Now, together with our valued travel trade partners, we can bring this new bridge between Canada and Latin America to life.
